TOWARDS QUALITY EDUCATION

  1. Capacity Building programmes for BRPs and CRPs.

  2. State & District Resource Groups formed.

  3. Training of Primary & Upper Primary Teachers (total 20 days in a year).

  4. Use of Teaching Learning Material & Exhibition of TLM.

  5. Preparation of Master Resource Persons in various subjects.

  6. Deputation of BRPs/CRPs/Teachers for different training programmes Puppetry at Hyderabad, Multi-level & Multi-grade teaching at rishi Valley, Innovations & experiments in Pre-Primary & Primary education by Gram Mangal & other NGOs at Pune.

  7. Sethu-Navnirmiti Mathematic teaching project in 123 Govt. Primary Schools of Sanguem taluka as a pilot project.

  8. Appointment of Para Teachers for Remedial Teaching.

2008-09

  1. Preparation of local specific teaching learning materials for Multi-level & Multi-grade teaching on the lines of Rishi Valley.

  2. Preparation of Master Resource Persons (88) in English for primary teachers in collaboration with Regional Institute of English, South India, Bangalore.

  3. Extension of Sethu-Navnirmiti Mathematics teaching projects in two talukas i.e. Canacona & Sattari.

  4. Conducting programmes on techniques in Question paper setting & evaluation for Std. Vth to VIIIth.

  5. Content enrichment training programmes for the teachers of Std. Vth & VIIIth through SCERT.

  6. Establishment of reading corner in every Govt. Primary School.

  7. Supply for Mathematics Lab kits for all Govt. Middle Schools & High Schools.

  8. Appointment of 11 Block Resource Teachers for promoting Inclusive Education.

  9. Capacity Building Programmes for PTAs & VECs and constitution of Urban Education Committees.

  10. Incentives for SC/ ST and Girl students such as School bags with learning kits (for Std. I), Raincoats (for Std. V), Project books (for Std. V to VIII), School Uniforms (for Std. V), Girl Child Motivation Scheme (for Std. VI to VIII).

  11. Free Textbooks for all the Students of Govt. & Govt. Aided Primary & Upper Primary Schools (Std. I to VIII).
